Sweet Scarlet was created by using wool fibre and silk fibre on a felted wool background. Scarlet macaws are becoming endangered in the wild along with many of the macaw species mostly because of pet trade and their brightly coloured feathers. Their bright and beautiful colours are the reason I felt inspired to create this Fibre painting.
