special GENERAL MEETING - may 2026

The Yarra Valley Arts Council will hold a Special General Meeting (SGM) on:

Tuesday 19 may 2026

6.00 pm

Nan Francis Room, The Memo, 235 Maroondah Hwy, Healesville

The purpose of the meeting is to elect a President, Secretary and any ordinary members. The Vice President and Treasurer roles are also open for nomination - the incumbents are happy to nominate for reelection. 

Before the formal SGM opens, the Committee will give a short, informal update on YVA's current activities and financial position. Please note that nominations for committee positions will be accepted up until the election of the relevant role. Therefore, if you are interested in nominating yourself or another member, please attend the full meeting so as to understand all activity currently in progress.  

To vote and to be eligible to sit on the Committee, Members need to be current – i.e. paid up. The Committee is responsible for governance of the organisation and high level decision making.

Reminders

  • You can vote if you're a current YVA member and joined more than 10 business days before the meeting. 

  • We need at least 10% of voting members present (in person or by proxy) for the meeting to go ahead so please attend or send a proxy in your place if you're unable to. 

  • Committee members need to be 18 or over and a current YVA member.
