The prints for both lamps of the pair were from leaves of the same eucalyptus tree. The leaves grow up high on a very skinny tree in the garden at the Duckpond, and I can only gather them when the parrots snip them for me as they harvest the growing flower buds.

The leaves are arranged on the paper, rolled and secured onto a cylinder and boiled for two hours in water with a tiny amount of iron sulphate. They are left overnight before removing the leaves to reveal the print. Impression and colour are unpredictable and variable, even from leaves of the same tree.
