ABOUT SARAH J:
Soft Pastel & Acrylic Artist | Impressionist-Inspired | Yarra Valley Artist
Sarah J is an emerging artist based in Chirnside Park, Victoria, whose work captures the raw beauty of nature through vibrant colour and expressive interpretation. Born in the UK and raised partly in California, Sarah has been drawing and painting since childhood, with a long-standing love of flowers and waterfalls.
Since moving to Melbourne in 1980, she has drawn inspiration from the Australian landscape, working primarily in soft pastels, acrylics, and gouache. Influenced by the Impressionists, especially Claude Monet, Sarah’s work explores light, colour, and mood, often conveying the essence of a place or a fleeting moment in time.
In 2020, she began actively pursuing her artistic dreams, creating meaningful artwork straight from the heart.
