EXHIBITION SUBMISSIONs

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Each Open Studios artist may submit one exhibit each.

  • Exhibits must be original work, not copies of any other work or publication.

  • The artist's name, title and price of the work must be clearly displayed on the back of each piece.

  • 30% commission is payable to YVA on all exhibition sales.

  • Minimum sale price is $100 per artwork. All works must be available for sale.

  • Artworks will be listed online and available for purchase, and remain on display until the conclusion of the exhibition.

  • The committee reserves the right to refuse any entry deemed unsuitable or not conforming to these conditions.

  • Whilst all care will be taken, YVA and the venue do not accept responsibility for any artwork.

  • Artists are responsible for the delivery and collection of exhibits on the dates specified below. Storage is not available onsite.

  • For 2D works, please read the following information on printing, mounting and hanging works

  • Submissions are due by Friday 4 September.

GROUP EXHIBITION: Wednesday 30 September To Sunday 1 November (Inclusive)
DELIVER EXHIBITION WORK, COLLECT BROCHURES AND STUDIO SIGNAGE: Monday 28 September
MEMBERS PREVIEW EVENT: Wednesday 30 September, 6-8pm
PUBLIC EXHIBITION LAUNCH: Saturday 3 October, 2-4pm
COLLECT EXHIBITION WORK, RETURN STUDIO SIGNAGE: Wednesday 4 November
WRAP-UP EVENT: Friday 13 November, 6-8pm

PLEASE NOTE:

  • All images submitted must be clearly labelled with sufficient details to identify each artwork. Only the information you provide in your submission will be used.

  • Information submitted will be used in promotion, and changes cannot be made after submission.

Take the time to present your work and practice in the best light. The Group Exhibition is where most visitors start when planning which studios to visit, so your exhibited piece should be a strong representation of your practice.

Additional files can be submitted via WeTransfer to openstudios@yarravalleyarts.org.au. Ensure file names include your name and artwork title, i.e. marywilson-studio-tools. Ensure you submit the above form before leaving this page, or your data will be lost. Please submit all required information by 4 September. Submissions will not be accepted after this date.
