Working on up to six paintings at a time
ABOUT JERRY:
Painter | Instinctive Creator | Master of the Unplanned
Jerry Osadczuk is an intuitive painter who embraces spontaneity, working with a wide variety of mediums and styles. Often juggling up to six paintings at once, Jerry thrives on momentum and discovery — boredom and over-planning have no place in his studio. His process is fluid and instinctive: an abstract might evolve into a landscape or veer toward surrealism with no warning.
Jerry studied Sumi painting in Japan for several years, a practice that continues to deeply influence his expressive, gestural work. He has been a finalist in the Cliftons Art Prize twice, and his energetic, ever-shifting approach continues to capture attention.
His studio reflects his creative process — paintings in progress may be found on the floor, easels, propped against walls, or even on the ceiling. The placement is dictated by medium, surface, and mood, not rules. It's a space where ideas collide, transform, and take flight.
A regular participant in Yarra Valley Open Studios, Jerry’s work invites viewers into a world of movement, emotion, and unpredictability.
