GRAEME HARDIDGE
Turning Junk into Art
ABOUT GRAEME:
Sculptor | Recycler | Australian Flora & Fauna
Living in the Yarra Valley, Graeme is surrounded by a landscape of natural beauty that provides constant inspiration for his work. The birds, trees and native flora of Australia feature strongly in his sculptures, reflecting his connection with the natural environment.
Graeme enjoys giving new life to discarded and repurposed materials, including automotive parts, old farm implements and scrap metal. He often combines these with weathered timber, old fence posts and bushwood, allowing the character and history of each material to become part of the work.
His skills in welding, blacksmithing and bush carpentry enable him to transform these materials into unique sculptural pieces. Graeme also enjoys collaborating with his wife, Bev, combining his sculptural forms with her painting and ceramic work to create pieces that bring together their individual creative practices.
