Narratives about our contemporary existence
ABOUT ELIZABETH:
Earth Listener | Multi-Disciplinary Maker | Visual Poet of Landscape
Elizabeth Haigh works across painting, printmaking, textiles and photography to create visceral, contemplative works that honour the living earth - its rhythms, its fragility, and its quiet grandeur. Intimate and expansive landscapes become visual poems, woven with colour, texture and form.
Based in the Yarra Valley on Wurundjeri Country, Elizabeth is a graduate of RMIT (Fine Art, Painting) and the University of Melbourne (Grad Dip Ed, Visual Art & Design). Since returning to her art practice after full-time teaching, she has exhibited widely and now regularly teaches with Fibre Arts Australia, Tarrawarra Museum of Art, Baldessin Press and in her local community.
Her international residencies include Proyecto’ACE in Buenos Aires, Studio West End in Brisbane, and Art Print Residence in Barcelona. In 2023, Elizabeth wrote a feature article for Women Create (US), with a follow-up Q&A published in their January 2024 newsletter.
