ABOUT BEV:

Colour Alchemist | Garden Observer | Creator of Joyful Mixed Media and Pottery

Bev Hardidge is a mixed media artist whose vibrant paintings emerge from layers of acrylic paints and inks, built up through an intuitive process using a variety of tools and brushes. Her studio, nestled among trees at the end of a paddock, overlooks The Queen Bee Garden—a sanctuary she created for her bees and a wellspring of inspiration.

Her artworks often depict colourful, rambling gardens or abstracted landscapes, where flowers, leaves, trees, and occasional bugs come alive through her playful use of colour and form. Recently, Bev has expanded her creative practice into pottery, transforming a garage and chook shed into her Chook Shed Pottery studio. Here, she experiments with clays, textures, and finishes to craft both functional and sculptural ceramic pieces.

Drawing inspiration from her rustic garden and the surrounding valley, Bev hopes her creations bring joy and spark moments of curiosity and discovery through their lively interplay of colour.
