Artist Statement
The Arts and in particular painting has always been my passion, however I do
appreciate art in all forms and mediums. Art is a shared experience between creator and
all those who perceive it, it can touch our hearts and stir our soul, it can ignite a spark of
inspiration and self expression within which in turn keeps us evolving as the creative
beings that we were born to be.

Julie is mostly a self taught artist and enjoys painting most subjects, her preferred
medium is pastel but she also enjoys the timeless texture of oils. Julie's works often glow
with old world charm as her eye for detail and subtle light transitions breathe life into
her work.
Julie's work hangs in numerous private and corporate collections throughout Australia
and overseas.
Julie has earnt signatory status with the Australian Guild of Realist Artists and is a
member of Sherbrooke Arts, Yarra Valley Arts and a member of an exclusive group
known as valley 10.
