I started painting in 1995 after community art classes in Altona. My Art is usually abstract or semi abstract based on photographs.

Artists who have inspired me include Artists of the Fauve movement, Emily Kngwarreye, Van Gogh, Peter Perryer and Mark Rothko.

In 2015 I combined my interest in the Coal Hole Covers of London and "found leaves" in Warburton by giving a talk at the Yarra Junction library on the "Art of the Footpath".

My other interests include an interest in the "horizontal line" ie where sky meets earth on a flat horizon, or where sky meets water. In March 2017 I completed a collaborative 10X10 Art Project with the Warburton Makers Group (100 10X10cm small canvasses painted by members - based on this horizontal line concept). I currently have an active photo diary on Instagram at iw15.

In 2016 I had 3 solo exhibitions

1.  Waterwheel Art Gallery Warburton - Photos of "Warburton Leaves" and "Termites of the Pilbara"

2. Warburton Arts Centre - "Art of the Footpath" - focussing on Art and Photographs of "Coal Hole Covers of London".

3. Box Hill Station Gallery - "Chan & Sukumaran - a reflection" - Art inspired by their story.
