New to country living for McLean has meant getting down and dirty in the earth. Observing every hole in the ground, every weird weed, bud, flower & fungi. Textures, pattern and outrageous seasonal colours that nature throws up at her, can at times be overwhelming.
This has led McLean into a magic world of the unknown. Here she makes her own ambiguous plants and forms into an environmental landscape where her botanical forms appear quite alien as they mimic and morph nature into a new environment of falsified imaginings, flowing from McLeans’ own landscape of the mind for a one off intriguing diorama.
